Dr. Ira Kraus is currently the Treasurer of the American Podiatric Medical Association and has been a member of the APMA Board of Trustees since March 2006. He graduated from the Washington and Jefferson College in 1985 and attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He graduated in 1989 and did his post-graduate training at NYCPM and their affiliated hospitals. He is in private practice in Chattanooga TN and North GA for 22 years. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Podiatric Practice Management Association (AAPPM). He is the Chief Managing partner of a 5 physician-6 office podiatric group. He has served the Tennessee Podiatric Medical Association in all elected positions and was their president from 2000-2002. He was the first person to be elected for a two-year term. He has been lecturing Nationally on Practice management and Billing and coding for many years.
